Ambassador Cruise Line is the first British cruise line launched since 2010. Operating smaller vessels, Ambassador is mainly aimed at the UK market and offers a premium experience for a great value cruise fare. Besides world cruise sectors, cruises don't require flying, with most departures from the compact, convenient port facility at London Tilbury. With the arrival of their second ship, Ambition, they have increased the range of departure ports, offering close-to-home departures from regional ports across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Ambassador Cruise Line operates some of the most environmentally friendly ships afloat, offering affordable access to remote destinations and hidden treasures. You can be sure of a warm welcome, excellent cuisine and great entertainment, all at unbeatable value, offering plentiful opportunities to meet like-minded people and make long-lasting friendships.
Ambassador Cruise Line is predominately for the 50-plus market. All guests must be at least 18 years at the time of sailing, with the exception of multi-generational cruises where toddlers and babies 6 months + can also sail.
During the day, casual clothing is the norm. For the evenings on board, the daily programme suggests a dress code. There are generally two "Ambassador formal" nights on each cruise of six nights or longer where suits or dinner jacket for the gentleman are suggested and dresses or cocktail attire for the ladies.
Ambassador offers three drinks and gratuity packages which are an extra cost per person per night, starting from £15.95 There is a supplement to dine in the speciality restaurants on board. Shore excursions are also an additional cost.
Ambassador has a wide range of Enrichment and Entertainment programmes, featuring guest lecturers, celebrity speakers at the line's "In Conversation With" sessions and arts and crafts specialists.
